The five megapixel S500 is a full featured digital camera designed to deliver maximum value, style and performance for digital photographers of all skill and experience levels. Offering features useful to the entire family, the camera offers a crystal-clear 2.4-inch LCD and a 3x optical zoom in both still and movie modes. In addition to its optical zoom, the S500 provides a 5x digital zoom, achieving a total zoom of 15x when used together.
For recording movies while on the go, the S500 supports MJPEG video recording, enabling users to take advantage of the 3x optical zoom even while in the movie recording mode. This model also features robust movie clip editing functions, which allow users to be more creative with their images than ever before. For example, "S" series owners can select and save a portion of a movie clip during playback and/or select part of a movie clip to be saved as a still image. All of this can be done right on the camera, without the aid of a computer or third party editing software. Also included is Samsung's unique successive video function that allows shooters to pause and resume video recording at any time and merge multiple video files into one single file.
For crystal-clear images under many lighting conditions, the S500 features seven scene modes including: Landscape, Close-Up, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Fireworks, and Beach & Snow. And, for the ultimate in creative control the camera also features a Special Effects Hot Key, putting several special effects at the user's fingertips. These effects include: Color Effect, offering a variety of colors, including black and white, sepia, blue, red, green or Negative depending on your photographic settings; Highlight, which keeps the subject in sharp focus while putting the rest of the image into soft focus; Photo Frame, allowing the shooter to choose from nine different types of photo frames to shoot their subjects in; and Composite Shot that allows the user to take two to four images and save them into a single file.
For further convenience, all Samsung digital still cameras feature a built-in image editing function allowing users to edit a variety of images without the use of a PC. The Trimming function can be used to cut an undesired part of an image and save only the required part. When short of memory, shooters can use the Resizing function to recover some of the memory space, by resizing and saving images in a smaller size. The Rotating function allows users to rotate an image in the desired direction and save it.
To ensure the clarity of images regardless of shooting range, the Auto Macro function automatically adjusts shooting distance and focus. By using the macro button, users can set the camera to automatically adjust distance and focus from between 5 centimeters to infinity.
Equipped with 16 MB of built-in memory, the S500 allows shooters to save pictures without a memory card while the Copy to Card function allows users to seamlessly transfer images saved in the internal memory to external memory. The camera also includes various useful functions such as voice recording for up to one hour, voice memo for adding a short voice message to a picture and "One-Touch Playback" for instant playback of a picture even when the power is off.

The Nikon Coolpix L3 combines an array of high-quality components including a 3x Zoom-Nikkor lens and a bright 2.0-inch LCD screen with in-camera image-improvement features, housed in lightweight, compact, yet elegantly finished bodies.
It boasts a powerful 3x Zoom-Nikkor lenses with a focal range equivalent to that of a 38-116mm (35mm equivalent), providing the freedom to zoom in for tight personal portraits or out to capture expansive outdoor scenes.
The CCD delivers higher performance within tighter dimensions, greatly adding to the camera's compact form and portability while offering a generous effective megapixel value of 5.1, ensuring the refined image clarity that users have come to expect from other members of the Coolpix family.
The camera also features a bright, easy-to-view 2.0-inch LCD that's now even easier to operate with new icons and function selections as well as a new color scheme that is easier on the eye.
The specific design aspects of the Coolpix L3 make it streamlined and comfortable to hold, with a smooth, elegant finish that suggests a much higher level of sophistication. The curved grip contributes both to the camera's design elegance and its shooting stability.
The strikingly compact dimensions and light camera weight makes the L3 ideal for taking anywhere you may go, reinforced by the convenience of AA-size battery compatibility. One of the most widely available battery sizes in the world--in alkaline, lithium, rechargeable, or other forms--AA compatibility allows near-ubiquitous use anywhere in the world.
In common with the entire current Coolpix digital camera range, this latest addition features a number of Nikon-inspired capabilities that give the user the power to automatically improve recorded images in-camera. Available in playback mode, for example, the D-Lighting function selects and creates a copy of images with excessive backlight or insufficient flash illumination, adding light and detail wherever needed while keeping other areas as they were.
Nikon's Face-priority AF function automatically detects and focuses in on people's faces, regardless of where they are in the frame, ensuring superb crisp-focus portraits. The In-Camera Red-Eye Fix function analyzes each image, automatically finding and then correcting the accidental red-eye that sometimes occurs in flash photography, for more natural-looking portraits.
A choice of 15 different Scene modes--four with Scene assist--makes the challenge of achieving desired results in a wide range of everyday situations that much simpler. By choosing the Scene mode best suited to the subject at hand, the Coolpix L3 automatically selects the ideal settings for exactly the picture you had in mind, whether indoor party or outdoor nighttime fireworks display. Scene assist displays useful framing guides in the monitor, helping you compose shots for optimal results.
All of the latest Coolpix L class cameras are compatible with widely available SD memory cards. The provision of 23 MB of internal memory allows the user to keep shooting when no additional memory is available, as well as easily moving images from one SD card to another.
The Coolpix L3 digital camera also offers movie-shooting capability in three sizes: TV movie size (640) for viewing on TV or computers; convenient Small size (320); and Smaller size (160) for extended recording or Internet usage.
With the Coolpix L3, ease of use and convenience are still priorities, even when the shooting is over. Printing is kept simple, with PictBridge capability enabling connection to a compatible printer without the need of a computer and USB connectivity eases data transfer to computers and other peripherals.
Completing the picture is the complimentary PictureProject accessory software, which greatly simplifies the importing, editing, and organizing of images. It even offers compatibility with a range of plug-ins that allows functions to be extended on demand.

Fujifilm's Super CCD imaging technology, once found solely in professional and advanced amateur digital cameras, is now available to every digital photographer. Fuji's FinePix A500 model is one of Fujifilm's new breed of entry-level digital cameras with Super CCD technology.
Fujifilm's decision to include the award-winning Super CCD sensor in its latest A-Series cameras is a boon to photographers who want the best image quality without the complexity of a more elaborate digital camera. Seven years ago, Fujifilm set itself apart from other manufacturers by introducing its own image sensor, the Super CCD. Using the human eye as a model and mimicking the way it functions, Super CCD enhances vertical and horizontal resolution, improves color reproduction, widens dynamic range, and increases signal-to-noise ratios and light sensitivities. All of these factors play important roles in the production of higher-quality digital pictures.
The FinePix A500 is ideal for the first-time digital camera buyer or any photographer who craves simplicity without sacrificing image quality. In addition to the Super CCD sensor, the A500 offers the following desirable features:

Digital photographers will take sharper, more vivid pictures and see their results in a big way with the new 5-megapixel FinePix V10 digital camera.
The FinePix V10 is the first model in Fujifilm's 2006 digital camera line-up to use Real Photo Technology. Like its 2005 predecessors with Real Photo Technology, the FinePix V10 does an outstanding job of removing graininess or "noise" from its digital pictures. Image noise, much like static in a television signal, reduces a picture's sharpness. The noise problem is compounded when digital pictures are shot at higher light sensitivities, which can vary depending on lighting conditions.
With Real Photo Technology, the FinePix V10 generates less noise than similar digital cameras and can therefore take pictures at light sensitivities as high as 1600 ISO at full resolution. Higher sensitivities open the door to a host of user benefits when combined with quicker shutter speeds. Those benefits include less shake and blur due to hand and subject movement as well as more detailed and natural-looking pictures taken in low-light environments.
With the FinePix V10 and Real Photo Technology, users can keep the lights off during the "Happy Birthday" song and still capture a clear picture without disrupting the mood with a camera flash. To help determine whether or not to use flash for a particular scene, the FinePix V10 has a Natural Light and With Flash function. This mode shoots two images in succession, first without and then with flash. This convenient function provides an on-the-spot comparison that helps the user decide whether the FinePix V10 will produce the highest-quality photo with flash or without.
The features and benefits of the FinePix V10 don't end with Real Photo Technology. The most noticeable physical feature of the FinePix V10 is the camera's enormous LCD. At 3 inches, the FinePix V10's LCD is one of largest in the ultracompact camera category. It gives the user an ideal platform for framing subjects or for sharing just-taken photos. Plus, the LCD has a number of features that ensure peak viewing performance regardless of scene lighting.
Glare is often a problem when LCDs are used in direct sunlight or a brightly lit room. To combat glare, the LCD of the FinePix V10 employs a special amplification layer that boosts the strength of the LCD and makes it easier to see. The FinePix V10's LCD is also very "smart," as it automatically "gains up" or brightens in dimly lit environments. And with a stout 230,000 pixels, this reinforced LCD is not short on resolution.
The high resolution of the FinePix V10's LCD comes in handy when the user selects one of the four fun video games available on the camera. A nice secondary feature for a camera whose focus is on taking great pictures, the games--Number Puzzle, Break Out, Shooting Game, and Maze--are ideal diversions for a traveler during a long layover, a passenger on an interstate road trip, or a weary driver stuck in line at the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Spotlight features of the FinePix V10 include:

The sharpness and clarity of your enlargements will also astound you. Plus, the 4x optical zoom lens makes it simple to shoot close-ups, scenery and anything else with the brilliance and flawless clarity that have built Canon's reputation worldwide. To make shooting and playback convenient and easy, there's a big, clear 2.0-inch LCD screen.
Easy to operate for beautiful photos
This is the digital camera that takes care of you, so you never have to worry about anything. Just turn the simple Mode Dial and instantly you can handle any shooting condition. Choose from Auto for most situations, Manual when you're feeling creative, Movie, or Special Scene for superb shots in Night, Snow, Indoor or Beach settings, among others.
Advanced imaging technology improves every photo
Canon's DIGIC II Image Processor is designed to improve processing speed and image quality, so DIGIC II provides markedly faster startup, autofocus and playback, plus it assures that every image is more colorfully vibrant.
iSAPS Technology
iSAPS Technology is an entirely original scene-recognition technology developed for digital cameras by Canon. Using an internal database of thousands of different photos, iSAPS works with the fast DIGIC II Image Processor to improve focus speed and accuracy, as well as exposure and white balance.
Enjoy wide-screen shooting
Now you can experience the full impact of every image you shoot. PowerShot A460 is equipped with a 16:9 widescreen option that lets you shoot still photos and movies in a format that's specially made for viewing on widescreen television sets or your computer monitor.
